Head Over Heels / Teen With Talent I'm sort of cheating here, because I didn't really buy this copy of "Head Over Heels" by Frank Graham / "Teen With Talent" at a used book store. What happened was I bought my first copy of this book for $1.05 at my favorite used-book store, The Brattle Book Shop. At the time I had just gotten a clear shower curtain that had these little flaps designed so that you could slide photos or magazine clippings or whatever into them. So I ripped off the front cover and added it to the curtain along with things like my video box for "Roadhouse." Then, I ripped apart the pages from the cover-less book using the yellowed pages to make images for the site - images I ended up not using. While I was ripping it apart I started to read the book and realized what a colossal mistake I had made. Here I had the absolute perfect piece of erotic cheese - and I go and rip it apart. My girlfriend realized I was pretty bummed about it, so she ordered a copy for me. This isn't that copy either. That one was stolen from her stoop. So she had to re-order it for me, and I think, all in all, she was easily out over $20 bucks getting it for me. She's pretty awesome. She gave it to me for Christmas. And really, I think there's no better time to receive light porn from your significant other. I think her parents, my parents, and the baby Jesus would smile at the thought. Following the cover I've added some pages from the book - I should note: although two different authors are credited, both stories were obviously written by the same man. I can't imagine two different guys independently using the terms "Geezus" and "mash the accelerator." Story-wise they're very similar too. Both "Head" and "Teen" star restless bad-girls who have a tendency for drinking, wiping cold beer cans over their hot heads and breasts, and hooking up in cars. Oh, and in both, both mind you, the story ends with them falling in love and preparing for marriage. You gotta love that. I guess in 1967 it was OK to write a female character that was wild, just as long as she wised up and got married by the age of 21 or so.

My friend, Julie McBride, was VITAL to the redesign. She put in long hours and was extremely patient in coding the layout for me. Please check out her site. * * * * * * * * * * * * |
