Knitting Guides These images are from a stack of knitting guides that span about 20-odd years that I bought at a garage sale. The women who sold them to me said that it was nice to see young people taking an interest in doing things like knitting. I felt pretty guilty telling her that I just liked the pictures, so I also bought a calligraphy set from her and feigned that I really was stoked to learn how to calligraphy-up all those letters I mail people. Please enjoy:
Dear god, look at those TEETH! Actually, in the black and white photo you can tell the poor child mouth doesn’t really look that piranha-like.
I’m not kidding you when I say those blue and white booties may the sexiest article of clothing I have ever seen. They’re freakin’ hot.
It seems that the “Ok, you guys, put a hand on a shoulder and look over here like something is happening” photo was very popular in the early 60’s.
On a ten-point scale of coolness, this guy registers a “fuck you – you can’t put a number on my coolness.”
That's right - drink it in ladies.
In this day in age, I think we’re too quick to apply Freudian readings to things, and I think, ultimately, this is an innocent picture. But that doesn’t mean I don’t find it funny. And is that his junk? ![]()

My friend, Julie McBride, was VITAL to the redesign. She put in long hours and was extremely patient in coding the layout for me. Please check out her site. * * * * * * * * * * * * |
