This here page is going to be a catch-all for crap that really doesn’t fit into the theme of the site: "One More Unnecessary take on the World of Popular Culture." However, I defend my decision to go ahead and post it here, because, well cah’mon, look at this piece of shit site. Its not like it’s going to win a Webbie or whatever the hell that award is called. The design is Fisher Price "My Very First Web-Page" quality, the mock-serious analysis of throwaway culture is derivative, the jokes repetitive, and the style is marred by sloppy inexperienced writing that jumps jarringly from the pompously academic to the conversational. Maintaining a controlled delivery and a unified voice while remaining within the confines of a defined theme is just not going to happen here. So sue me if it turns out that I just slap up whatever I find funny. Thank you. -- Mike Gries.
